The owners of Hawkins House initially engaged us for our interior design expertise. This double-story house, although relatively new, posed a unique challenge with its multiple interval levels and unconventional angles that limited its potential. Following a thorough initial inspection, we recommended a renovation to rectify these issues. Collaborating closely with the homeowner, we engaged the services of an architect to oversee all structural modifications. This collaborative effort ensured that every aspect of the project, especially the structural changes, were expertly planned and executed to achieve the desired results. By squaring off rooms, reclaiming previously unusable spaces, and optimising the layout, we elevated this house to a whole new level of functionality and aesthetic appeal.
On the first level, our renovation endeavours were primarily concentrated on the office space, master bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, and ensuite, all of which underwent substantial transformations. In the office space, we introduced ample floor-to-ceiling storage, featuring enclosed cabinetry that contributed to a clean and organized aesthetic. Additionally, we created a designated display cabinet area, thoughtfully designed to showcase our client's extensive Lego collection.In the master bedroom, we crafted floor-to-ceiling cabinetry that served a dual purpose, partially functioning as the headboard while offering generous storage space. Additionally, we seamlessly integrated a dedicated vanity area into the design, cleverly concealing storage behind cabinetry fronts for a tidy and streamlined appearance. Furthermore, we devised an elegant display area to house our client's collection of branded bags, adding a touch of personal style and sophistication to the space. Custom cabinetry was meticulously designed to enhance the functionality of the walk-in wardrobe, providing efficient storage solutions. The ensuite bathroom was subjected to a complete overhaul, resulting in a spacious and luxurious setting. This renovation introduced a double vanity, an elevated section for a bathtub, and a dedicated shower zone. 
Our comprehensive proposal encompassed several key modifications to the layout. This involved the demolition of two bedrooms along with the adjoining laundry, creating an opportunity to transform the space into a larger bedroom. Additionally, we incorporated a much-desired theater room into the design. To accommodate the laundry, we strategically relocated it to an alternate area, providing direct access to the outdoors for added convenience.Responding to our client's specific requests, we introduced several distinctive features on the ground level. These included a built-in shoe cabinet at the main entrance for enhanced organisation, a multifunctional living area with a dedicated study area with ample concealed storage, and strategically positioned display spaces for showcasing an extensive Lego collection. Furthermore, we designed and implemented a completely new kitchen and adjoining dining area, as well as a new bathroom and toilet on the ground level. These thoughtful enhancements were tailored to meet our client's unique lifestyle and preferences.
